(02.14.1930, Kiev - 2000) - Ukrainian graphic artist, honored. Artist of Ukraine (1968), People. Artist of Ukraine (1990), Member Acad. Arts of the USSR (1988). Born in Kiev. He studied at the Kiev Art Institute of the (1948-1954 gg.). He lived in Kiev. He worked mainly in the field of book illustration. Author and illustrator easel engravings of works of Ukrainian writers Kotsyubinsky, I. Kocherha, I. Franco, M., and others burnt to the interests of Yakutovych heroic past of the Slavs of Kievan Rus', the story of Hutsul. From linocuts, built on the contrast of black and white, the spatial depth and volume of items Yakutovich switched to flat and decorative compositions: refinement of line and stroke are different to the woodcut. Illustrations Yakutovych differ desire to capacious, generalizing, and emotional and psychological disclosure of images "Lay" - Boyana, Igor's, Yaroslavna and other illustrations have won fame Yakutovich artist and thinker. He also worked in the technique of etching. Performed sketches for movies, posters, Yakutovich - author of scenery for the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" (1963-1964 gg.). Twice winner of the State Prize of Ukraine. Shevchenko (1983, 1991)..
