NEW YORK, December 21 - RIA Novosti. Known in the United States from Washington Maecenas Jean Riddel Montgomery Museum of Art Walters bequeathed to the Baltimore (Md.), a large collection of Russian silver, including some of the work of Carl Faberge, according to local U.S. media.

According to the weekly Baltimore Business Journal, Riddel, who died last year aged 100 years, gathered a collection of more than 260 products enamelled period XVII-XX centuries. The cost of this collection was not disclosed.

Baltimore Business Journal quoted museum director Gary Walters Vaykana that exposure to the Russian collection will be open to the public in the spring of 2015, as her show and in other museums in the United States.

Now, according to the newspaper, at the Museum Walters exhibited only 12 specimens of silver from the collection of Riddel, including a mug from the XVII century the Kremlin Armory and a cup with colored enamel.

Baltimore Sun newspaper in the same vein, adding that Riddel, which has links with the Museum Walters for 20 years, became interested in Russian enamel, having inherited some products after the death of her husband, Richard Riddelya in the 60s.
