In Britain Museum staff complied with the ancient ritual display of mummies
Large-scale exhibition of the unique collection of artifacts of ancient Egypt and Nubia Museum opened in Eshmolovskom in Britain. Curators reunited with the statue of the legendary Egyptian royal couple of Akhenaten and Nefertiti. Akhenaten came to be reunited with his wife straight from London's British Museum. The exhibition presents about 2 thousands of priceless works of art of the ancient masters, at the moment is one of the most important exhibitions of Egyptian art outside of Egypt. A very interesting pre-dynastic section of the exhibition - it shows a giant stone statue of the god of fertility Mina, carved in 3300 BC, and a unique temple Taharga brought from Nubia, in part, ITAR TASS reports. Museum staff in the preparation of the exhibition even take into account the special rituals related to the demonstration of mummies. To protect visitors to the museum of ancient curses, mummy, scientists have provided each sign with the name - it is impossible to look at a mummy, not knowing her name. http://news.argumenti.ru/culture/201...e=all#fulltext |

Did not understand  > So the statue or mummy? If such " mummy " as in the picture , their names will certainly have to write the most in big letters. :)> On the ancient ritual of demonstrations mummies had never heard of , who then showed them to whom and why ? Grave robbers except that ...
In general, my mind was boiling - explain more ! |
There needs Victor Solkin to explain.
Without it, a rare high risk of delirium read a lot. |
Honestly do not remember how they act in the British Museum , although it was the last time recently , but in contrast to children who have these facilities for some reason, attracts like a magnet, do not like to go there , waiting for them in the neighboring Greek- Roman <! - - ~ 1 ~ ->. But as I recall signs in museums has always been about the ritual of PR nakreativili . :)>) )

I am interested in and Ancient Egypt and mummies. What I liked in the Cairo Museum , of course. The British Museum also has a good collection of (admittedly, my favorite place there - the library ). I would love to once again looked at Nefertiti. But nothing on the museum site about "reunification of spouses sculpture " does not say , although there is a fragment of wall painting , depicting Nefertiti and daughters Ahenotena . Generally it is a massive renovation in the museum and the opening of new galleries , which exhibited from November 26, Egyptian and Sudanese ( Nubian ) collection , University of Oxford . It most nearly 40,000 artifacts, and , although there is a new place and got a lot of things from the store , I do not think that all the exhibits they will be able to show at once , would shift exposure . Ashmolinsky Museum is located in Oxford and I , alas, not enough time on this trip , so go there .

Santa, well, I thought that the census of this kind are related to the topics that interested forumchanin earlier. Simply, I naively assumed , people do not want to waste time or plagiarize someone else's and therefore puts the text . I did not expect that people simply do not read what is put on the forum and not relate to information is critical. On the other hand, why seek the truth in the text, if it is at fault.
