Russian painter October 27, 1886 - October 1, 1958 Robert Rafailovich Falk was born (15) October 27, 1886 in Moscow, the family lawyer. He studied fine arts in schools and studios Juon Dudin, in a private studio Mashkov, then studied at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. During this period, a special influence on its further work had VA Serov, KA Korovin. After the 1917 revolution, in the years 1918-1928, Falk taught at the State Free Art Studios - Higher Art - Vhuteine (now MGHPU them. Stroganoff). He was Dean of the Faculty of Painting. In 1918-1921 years he also worked at the Moscow College for Art and Art Industry Division of Fine Arts Commissariat, and in 1921 became a member of the association "Kultura League", created for the development of Jewish art and traditional culture in Yiddish. In 1939 he held a personal exhibition at the House of Falk's writers. In his work dominated landscapes, still lifes and portraits, written in a generalized, subdued manner. In 1950 Falk became for many young Soviet avant-garde artists a symbol of a bygone era of great art, great art as a bridge between the early 20th century and the post-Stalin thaw. Robert Falk, died October 1, 1958 in Moscow. |
