American Museum of cowboys selling the biggest picture Feshina

Three paintings of Russian artist of the first half of the 20th century, Nicholas Feshina expose the National Museum of the cowboys in Oklahoma City for sale, "Masterpieces of Russian Art" auction house Sotheby's on November 1 at New York, RIA Novosti reported the press service of the auction. "Cheremis Wedding" came to the museum from the collection of President of Krebs Pigment and Chemical Sonena August, which bought it from collector George Arnold Hearn, who, in turn, spotted a painting on display in Feshina Carnegie Institution in Pittsburgh in 1911. Founded in 1955, the National Museum houses a collection of cowboys art and artifacts of the American West. Proceeds from the sale of three paintings will go to further the completion of the museum's collection, the subject matter which is directly connected with the history of the American West. Also at New York auction will be exhibited works by Konstantin Korovin "An Evening in Marseille" (400-600 thousand dollars), the canvas Boris Kustodiev "Fireworks. The Bronze Horseman" (3.4 million), "And we continue to catch" by Nicholas Roerich (1-1.5 million), "Face Time" Aristarchus Lentulov (1.8-2.2 million), "Sandy Beach" by Ivan Shishkin (1.2-1.8 million), "Moscow Street" Natalia Goncharova (1-1.5 million), and others. |
