In Moscow, brought one of the best collections of Kandinsky

In Moscow, for the first time brought the paintings from the union of "Blue Rider," based Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc, from the Munich Gallery Lenbahhauz. The exhibition will open October 5 expressionists at the State Museum of Fine Pushkin.
At the exhibition "Kandinsky and the 'Blue Rider'," Pushkin will show 62 works, including paintings symbolist Franz Stuck, and 30 paintings by Wassily Kandinsky. In addition, work will be presented to all key players "Blue Rider" - Paul Klee, August Macke, Alexei von Jawlensky.
Wassily Kandinsky was born in 1866 in Moscow, graduated from MSU, but in 30 years, he decided to become an artist and moved to Munich, where he studied painting. There, in 1911 and was created by a group of "Blue Rider". The union denied the tradition of academic painting and was interested in contemporary trends - Fauvism and Cubism. Wassily Kandinsky with the outbreak of World War II, Kandinsky returned to Moscow. In 1921 the artist moved to Germany and did not return home. He received his German citizenship and taught at art school "Bauhaus". In 1933, Kandinsky moved to France where he died in 1944.
The Gallery of paintings are stored Lenbahhauz XVIII-XIX centuries, who worked in Munich as well as participants in the Munich Secession. However, the museum is best known for its collection of works by association "Blue Rider".
