Empress Elizaveta

As befits a royal personage, EA
repeatedly portrayed, including

and Borovikovsky, this is similar to the famous Portrait of pastel painter.
J. Horta

(Or Orf), but it is depicted in profile.

Known whether the author of this portrait?

Obviously , we are talking about this book :

It says that author portraits - Borovikovsky. Other evidence that I could not be found . Of course , there is a very famous portrait of Elizabeth Alekseyevna brush Borovikovsky (see nested. 1), but it does not look like given the topic . So the question of authorship is still open ( at least for me). Most of all , I find similarities with the portrait of an unknown artist 1810s ( see 2), as well as a portrait of a brush Monnier ( vlozh. 3).
Apparently , the Elizabeth Alexeyevna was very mobile face, a very difficult time for portraiture .

Yes, Borovikovsky seems, judging by the portrait Naryshkina (maybe she is? :)>).
But, perhaps, that he wrote to the Empress of foreign works.
The similarity with the work of Vigee-Lebrun obvious (hair, locks of hair, etc.) It would be logical if the portrait of Elizabeth Alekseyevna wrote a woman, not man.

Hand of the great master here does not smell, I think, at least srisovka with something the author to draw something really could not, in my opinion ...
