Oil /canvas. 79h49sm. No breaks. The slight interference in the ship and the rocks - so small that the restoration will not name. Signature can be seen under ultraviolet light, but unreadable. |
Apparently the picture painted by the Crimean motive.
But who wrote it? |
In my opinion, and not without Aivazovsky ...

By engineering work close to the works of Emanuel Mahtesyan , although the subject is unfamiliar to me the picture . Many of the works Mahtesyan died during the two wars - the Civil War and WWII. That is why the work of this seascape has not been investigated fully. It is known that Em.Magdesyan not always signed his works , this determination to the eye - in color and similar techniques, in general, how you can determine the authorship of reproduction.

In Mahtesyan all neatly and collected, and the marina provided all waddled with timidity and somehow, perhaps, the artist seems to feel his lack of skill in the transfer of masses of water and tries to compensate for this "movement."
