Fragment (copy) from the painting by Paolo Veronese "Creation of the Milky Way"

Reproductions do not show ? And then I found none. We have Tintoretto , Rubens y have one, and Veronese - not found. And in the story that is not connected . Analyzed for painting depicts Juno (or almost the same thing - Hera ) - is clear . But in " The Origin of the Milky Way," she should feed the baby Hercules , and here it is not ... Jets of milk also does not seem to ...

Amateur, perhaps I was mistaken.

Maybe it's "Leda and the Swan "? Here is such a variant :)>, though I confess - "bird" to a swan falls short :)>.

" The Greek myth tells us about Lehde , wife of Spartan King Tyndareus , (daughter of Festo, king of Aetolia , the sister of Altea ), from which she had daughters, Clytemnestra , Timandra , Philo and the son of Castor . Captive beauty of Leda in love with her Jupiter ( Zeus). He sailed it down the river in the form of a swan when she was bathing in the river Eurotas . As a result of this union she laid one or two eggs (stories vary ), of which the heavenly twins hatched Castor and Pollux ( Dioscuri called , which means " sons of Zeus " ), Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra ."

although I must admit - "bird" to a swan falls short ;)>.

Of course, the peacock :)>. Semantic load pattern does not change ;)>.

... However, a number of turns of history, marred the image of
Peacock and attached to this symbol ambiguity. Back in the 13th century "Book of Treasures"
Brunetto Latini points to a connection with the sin of the peacock - this is reflected in the "snake
head and devilish voice, "a beautiful bird. Interpretation of the peacock as a symbol of
Vanity was in demand in the main to the XIX century. Peacock as a symbol of sin
arises, for example, in the film Edmond Aman-Jean "Girl with a Peacock" (1895) or
in the poem Pierre Louis' Woman with Peacock "(1891), which describes
fuck women with these birds. In the Russian interpretation of the peacock is also characterized by
arrogance and hubris - presumably because it does not make any public
among other poultry ...

PS: Image of the painting Edmond Aman-Jean "Girl with a Peacock" (1895), unfortunately, is not found.

PS PS: By the way, note that the picture was originally an oval shape, and obviously in the process of existence has been trimmed.

And another variation on the theme.

That's it. But the association as a sin , and with a test pattern does not matter.

In fact, the peacock - the attribute of the goddess Juno ( Hera ), so the search must be original paintings depicting scenes of Greek and Roman mythology. And, I think, among the artists of the Italian school.

I, too, so it seemed.

The style of this type of 18th century Italy.
