On this photo I more think that the last letter - "x", and the signature can be read as "J. Durieux".

I " passed by " this artist. ( dates of his life 1900 - 1993). Signed it seemed to me though is similar to the first post to you , but it was not even 60%certainty, and I decided not to recommend it to you as the probable author of your pictures. There are still doubts. Take a look ... Signature , though unstable, but the letter "u" always monotonous, and not like in your picture. Not to mention "z".
