Alexander Rusakov favorites. The exhibition in St. Petersburg
 

In St. Petersburg, and the gallery Art-object (str Shamsheva, 6a) presents a solo exhibition of paintings by Alexander Rusakov. The exhibition will run until April 18

RUSAKOV Alexander Isaakovich
1898, Sevsk, Orel province. -1952, Leningrad paint AI Rusakov begun in his childhood the artist M. Ignatiev, and then attended a private school E. Zvantseva in St. Petersburg and graduated in Fine Arts (1918-24, mostly in the studio O. Braz). In 1926 he took an active part in the establishment of the association "Circle of Artists (1926 - 32). On the banner of "Circle" was called: "A picture of the creation of style of the era." Rusakov was a participant of all exhibitions of association. Since 1932 - Member of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Artists. The first work Rusakov discovered a rare gift of a colorist, not less clear orientation to the French school (P. Cezanne, Matisse, A., A. Marche). In the early years, he turns to a thematic painting, writing large canvases with figures in full-length ("A woman with a stroller," 1927; "fitter", 1928), but these experiments have not received further development. Landscape, portrait, still life - that's their favorite genres of the artist. It is limited to a close the world, whether it's a circle of relatives and friends, a neighborhood shop or the items that are always at hand ("Woman with chicken," 1930; "Portrait of the Son, ca. 1933; landscapes of the Petrograd side 1930).. In fact, the only genre to which gravitated Rusakov, a genre painting of the lyrics. During the war, the artist remained in Leningrad, he continued to work and was exhibited at the exhibition of the blockade in 1943 Siege landscapes are among his best works. In the late works Rusakov turned to tempera, reaching an exceptional clarity and precision of visual language ("Still Life with a sculpture of Donatello," Schooner. Blue Neva, a series of landscapes of the Karelian isthmus, all 1950-51). The first solo exhibition was held in 1957, after his death. Rusakov product presented in timing, in museums and galleries in Saratov, Perm, Pskov, Odessa, Bryansk and other art collections.
