In 1895 - 1899 he studied at the Lviv Art - Industrial School , 1900 - 1905 - Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow . Between 1900 and began exhibiting activities . Lived and worked in Lviv . In 1953 received the title of Honoured Artist of USSR in 1957 - People's Artist of USSR . Master realist landscapes, portraits, historical and satirical paintings . Work is presented in XM Lviv, Kyiv , Poltava , Dnepropetrovsk , Nikolaev .
