People's Artist of Ukraine (since 1995 ). Rod . in the village Varvarivka Kharkov province . Childhood and youth were held in city of Lgov Kursk province . Here he studied painting before 1928 at a local artist NN Arshinova . From 1928 to 1931 he studied at the Kharkiv Art College . From 1931 to 1935 in Kharkov , and the third course - at the Kiev Art Institute . In 1939 he taught at the Kharkiv Art College , and from 1940 - at the Kharkov Art Institute as an assistant to the artist Kozik . In 1947 - 1954 he taught at the Kiev Art High School . Works of art are stored in museums in Kiev , Lugansk and other Ukrainian museums .
