Elmar Kitts favorite teacher Hulot Sooster
 

I would like to introduce you to the wonderful works of Estonian artist, who was a teacher Hulot Sooster. E. Keats preserving original creativity, despite the requirements of the official ideology. Artist Elmar Keats was born in 1913 in Tartu. In 1935 he enrolled at the university art school "Pallas", where he studied painting under Professor A. Wabba, which finished in 1940-41 1939g.V he works as a teacher of drawing at the State Higher Art School named after Konrad Mägi. After the war he was working as a teacher of painting at Tartu State Art institute.V in 1947 was promoted to associate professor. In 1946 he, along with a group of Estonian artists spent a month in Armenia in 1947 in the Central Asian republics, and in 1955 in Karelia. Russian viewers June 1956 met with the artist's works at the exhibition dedicated to the works of three Estonian artists E. Eynmana, E. Keats and R. Sagrits. In March 1972 the artist died, leaving about 2000 pictures!

As I recall, with 1940go year Sooster lived in Tartu, and certainly they were familiar, and from 1945-49 Hulot studied at Tartu State Art Institute, where he taught E. Keats.
