Born at the station. Leo Tolstoy, the Ryazan region.
He graduated from Ryazan Art School (1948-1951) and the Institute. Repin Academy of Fine Arts of the USSR (1951-1957).
Painter. Worked primarily in the area of genre and historical paintings, the author of canvases devoted to the working class.
Member of the Russian Union of Artists since 1960.
Since 1957 - a permanent participant of regional exhibitions. Exhibitor Area ("Big Volga", 1964, 1970, 1974, 1980), respublikaskih (Moscow, 1960, 1965, 1970)-Union (Moscow, 1957, 1967) art exhibitions.
Chairman of the Board Gorky organization CX RSFSR (1975-1977, 1982-1983).
Solo exhibition: N. Novgorod, 2003, St. Petersburg, 2003.
