13 January 2011 at the Samara Regional Museum of Art opened an exhibition of works born in Samara, People's Artist of Russia Alexander Pavlovich Vasilyeva, 100-year anniversary which was celebrated on January 11. The opening was attended by the artist's son, known fashion historian Alexander Vasilyev, who spent the press conference along with Minister of Culture of the Samara region Olga Rybakova and museum director Galina Ryabchuk.
