Large Antique Salon 16-26 December. Kiev
 

Today in the metropolitan cultural and art and museum complex "Art Arsenal" to open the third Grand Antiques Salon - the largest project in Ukraine, representing the masterpieces of world art, unique private and gallery collection.

This year the Salon through a special program "Museum visitor" presents two unique exhibition project: "Masterpieces of Sacred Art of Ukraine and Kyiv School of Painting" from the collections of leading museums in Chernihiv, Lviv and Kiev History Museum.

Decoration Exhibition - silver sata shrine miraculous icon of Our Lady of Elias, which was made at the expense of Hetman Ivan Mazepa in the Trinity Cathedral in Chernihiv. Over 300 years of its existence it has undergone some damage, but this year edging the icons got a second life.

Also as part of the Salon will be a selection of paintings from the collection of the Museum of History of Kyiv - paintings of prominent Ukrainian artist Sergey bumps and Alexander Khvostenko-tail. The exposition will demonstrate a well-known and almost forgotten Kiev middle and second half of the twentieth century. One of the highlights of the Salon will be a major exhibition of works of prominent Ukrainian artist of the second half of last century, George Khimich.

Sacred Art of Ukraine XVI-XVIII centuries, will present extraordinary exhibits, which are still found in museum stores Chernihiv Regional Historical Museum im.Tarnovskogo, National Gallery of Art in Lviv, Lviv Museum of the History of Religion, Nikopol museum, the Museum of books and printing of Ukraine, the National Reserve "Sophia Cathedral and the museum's" Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine ".

In addition, the Grand Antique Salon-2010 will present a colorful palette of private and gallery collections. The project will involve about 25 Ukrainian galleries.
