02/12/201001: 10 MOSCOW, November 22 - RIA Novosti, Svetlana Yankina. The collection of portrait miniatures from the XVII-XIX centuries from the collection of the Liechtenstein foundation SEPHEROT Foundation show at the exhibition "History of Russia in the portraits," which opens at the State Historical Museum (SHM) on Thursday, told RIA Novosti Exhibition curator Lyudmila Rudnev. According to her, in the exposition, including, you can see thumbnails, formerly owned by Mstislav Rostropovich and his wife Galina Vishnevskaya, and acquired fund. According to the agency interlocutor, in this case it is a private transaction. "The collection fund 40%of the miniatures - XVIII century, among them many of enamel, which was initially a bit and come down to us just a little bit," - said Rudnev. She noted, "a collection of the fund is so extraordinary that it is difficult to talk about the best things in the exhibition, because there are so many rarities. However, especially the curator of the exhibition highlights a group of thumbnails associated with Peter I. One of them, Charles Buata, made the famous portrait of Godfrey Kneller, which was written in Utrecht during the first trip of Peter I abroad. "We know that the Emperor ordered Buatu several miniatures with its image in the hope that they will become the premium, and after a while the master-enamel masters only partially from the Armory did the same, and they also have a collection fund - told Rudnev. Another exhibit, which is included in the exhibition, generally considered the first miniature image of Peter I - it is copied from the so-called "Versailles," a portrait of Russia's first emperor, where he appears more in old garb. "Images of Peter in Russian dress - a unit in the world, and in painting, in a nutshell, they are extremely rare and valuable" - said the curator. It also provided yet another award portrait of the emperor. "This is a portrait, adorned with diamonds, these awards were a lot, but precious decoration survived only 6-7, and one of them is in the collections of the foundation," - said Rudnev. In addition, the exhibition can see a portrait of Catherine II's traveling suit of Peter Zharkov, the largest enamel of the time, who presided over the class of enamel and miniature painting at the Art Academy. The curator calls the portrait "a masterpiece collection SEPHEROT Foundation". The exhibition presents miniatures depicting not only the emperors from Peter I to Alexander II, but also the outstanding military and government officials and aristocrats. Among them, Suvorov, Potemkin, Bezborodko, Stroganov, members of the Patriotic War of 1812 and foreign campaigns. The exhibition will run until February 28, and after the collection goes to Liechtenstein. http://www.rian.ru/culture/20101202/303342502.html |
