Do not know. I think they were waiting for start, no ? :D>
But I do not think we face Contemporary anything similar.

The most complete analog that futurism I would call today's cyber -art. Here - yes, a few frightening prospect.

In my view , to say generally , futurism in painting , this is the expected trend of the "art of the future" , a kind of potential energy expressed plastic language .

On the ' art of the future "is written in wikipedia -" Futurism (Latin futurum - future) - the general name of avant-garde art movements of the 1910s - beginning of the 1920s , especially in Italy and Russia. Futurists were interested not so much content as form. .. "

Thanks for utochnenie.Imenno as "progress", expressed through painting .

Peter, you steal up to the closest point. Can you give an example of "progress " in several paintings and explain what progress?

Futurism is not interested in people.
The main machine.
Soul in the machines, in their motion.

Why, people are also interesting.
Speed, power, yes - but not necessarily mechanical.

For example, here is my favorite picture in Boccioni

The head of the Italian Futurists was Marinetti.
He believed that man will save the car.
Want to know the soul - Know the car.

Well, he was a poet , a writer of manifestos. A measure of the picturesque during the manifesto do not , everything is exaggerated 100 times.
And the people in the pictures futurists are still important and often central.
But the issue Balagura was, as I understand it, is not about ideology , but more down-to-earth , something like : how to distinguish futuristic picture of nefuturisticheskoy ? And then manifests not help.

futurism in painting. I wonder who and how it presents itself . What is it? Please do not be shy to speak ,

Your question seems to me a kind of a statement of the collapse of one of the ideas of the avant-garde era. Futuristic ideas were based on positive - social justice, meaningful creative work, freedom, but not anarchy ... etc.
Around this was the message of the slogan ...
After that we had a war, camps, etc.
Contemporary also represent the continuation of the " critique of society," the Wanderers started back and the populists ( whatever they are disowned realism ...)
Futurism was among the utopian mentality ... Today, there is its continuation.

I'm oversimplifying the issue . Again , referring to Cubism. Cubist paintings which consist of ? Simple question, even rhetorically . A picture of how to build the Futurists ? It would not be superfluous philosophy.
Look at the painting by Lentulova ?
