Still more like a Flemish, and even more - in German in the Flemish style.

Signed, I would say, L Deffner

Well, all right, found on some findartinfo.com Ludwig Deffnera born. In 1800, the date of death is unknown, the author of Behold a still life:

Just not 17 th century, perhaps, the end of the 18 th.
And even then, not a fact.

Similarly, no 17 th century, perhaps, the end of the 18 th.
And it is not a fact.

It is difficult to assume that this Deffner Ludwig, born, as stated above, in 1800, wrote the pseudo-Flemish still life in the womb of his mother, although, of course, everything can be

Oskar Robert DOGARTH (1898-1961), aka Oskar DONAU, he's L. DEFFNER.

sergejnowo 05.04.2010 22:42

I think however, that it is at best a work signed by the late 20 th century.
In this paper, there is no hint of either the old nor the young Dutch.
Oh, this estimate on photos ...
Do not rule out that work quite fresh, - by the glitter paint "pulls" freshness.

Игорь Гурьев 05.04.2010 23:18

Tob.
LCR, I did not see your message, when he wrote his own.

By the photo is really difficult to determine the time of manufacture; now inclined, it is 20 century.

And what does Oskar Robert DOGARTH (1898-1961), aka Oskar DONAU? He was signed as L. DEFFNER.?
At http://www.findartinfo.com/search/li...Ludwig_Deffner
recorded only one sale L. DEFFNER, $ 1000. Do you think was the meaning of a fuss with forgery for such money? Painting something good, and no forgery

Painting something good, and without a fake

matter of taste.

Well, painting, and painting then .:)

Where access is charged to the pictures and signatures, and this information is publicly available, but is not the case. I never understood what has onoshenie Oskar Robert DOGARTH (1898-1961), aka Oskar DONAU to L. DEFFNER? This is one of the author?

Added after 9 minutes
The fact that DOGARTH worth more than L. DEFFNER, and sales have DOGARTH more than a hundred, and in L. DEFFNER-only one, and that inexpensive. So what's the point to sign L. DEFFNER? Already have signed DOGARTH, he demanded, and more. Something's not right somehow

Sometimes it is very easy. Here in Germany, Austria had a dozen of these artists.
Here are a couple of conventional explanations.
- The artist a professional restorer and receives money from the state budget. All side act taxed. That "take" another name for saving.
- Tales from the life of the artist Charles Kaufman.
He, like a truck driver had several "wives", every second has filed for a court to request dismissal of her as his wife, earned income of the artist. So he had a dozen names.
Karl KAUFMANN (1843-1902), he also:
C. VON ERLACH
Henri CARNIER
TORETTI
J. HOLMSTEDT
Charles MARCHAND
J. ROLLIN
F. HERINK
Leo PERLA
L. BERTINI
H. ROHR
T. GILBERT
FABRETTO
L. VAN HOWE
F. KOWSKI
K. SCHWARTZ
B. LAMBERT
F. RODECK
J. BRETON
Carl Apati HANKA
L. VAN HOVE
O. GLYKA
Charles KAUFMANN
A. HOFMANN
Theodore WALTER
GIOVANETTI
Karl KAUFFMANN
Fr. GILBERT
Ch. LAARSEN
Ch. ERKAN
C. CARLO
Fr. EBENDAL
