Vladimir Titov - one of the biggest, most important and best painters still alive the Russian diaspora, the artist who created his own recognizable color, its poetic world, peopling it with his characters, finding expression for his original pictorial form.
In other words, he - artistically independent person, that in itself is rare in Russian art. The subject of artistic understanding and creative inspiration for Vladimir Titov, the world had become marginalized and excluded. This social aspect of his art noted by many critics. However, the metaphorical power of his paintings goes far beyond merely displaying the life of this social group. In essence, they all contain the questions posed and constantly asks himself humanity. Why? Why is it always, until now, still not as I would like?

Your approval and laid out your pictures plunged my horror! Can it be so bad in the Russian art? Is Russian land ceased to bear and nurture talent, whereby she has always been famous? But my frustration has been replaced by skepticism, and I asked myself the question: "Is it good if you know Russian art, if the first paragraph of your article you say that" artistically independent person "-" in itself is rare in Russian art. " Can I trust the words of a man who discovers such an ignorance of the subject, which is trying to argue?! In his article you are trying to teach mediocrity as a kind of significant event. But the way that you have chosen to do so, or rather belittle the truly significant, in the hope that it somehow will present the works of your simpatanta more or less favorable light, is usually chosen only the most desperate circumstances. I'm not sure what you hope? At his eloquence, or the stupidity of the local audience? |

What impudence, however! It must be able to! Calling themselves the best pupil but still shamelessly lodge itself in the heart of a great artist! To give! Artist Titov clearly does not want to burden themselves with modesty and reverence to the teacher on the path to world fame and financial success. Done! Genius is not to anything! Next ... |

Exhibition of Vladimir Titov, the Russian Museum.
Today, 28 October, at the Marble Palace Russian Museum opens exhibition of Vladimir Titov. The exhibition presented 45 paintings and drawings of different years from museums and private collections of Russia, France and the United States.
Considering the work Titova domestic art in the context of recent decades, we can recall many predecessors, and "brothers" of the heroes of his works. In 1960 appeared a number of artists who have turned to the phenomenology of human and social mutations. Gnilozub O. Tsalkova, Daun B. Pyatnitskiy, Neanderthals E. Chubarova, freaks B. Yankylevsky, rowdy revelers Kalinina - the artists involved in modeling property, copyright population of their canvases. At the end of the Soviet power, during the adjustment period and a new wave "painting mutations, capturing even the outstanding master of the official art G. Korzheva. The anthropological vision - a constant term in our culture, a painful sharpening from time to time: in 1960 the Soviet perceived as "anthropological catastrophe", in the 1980 collapse of the Soviet perceived by many in the same eschatological context. --------------------- And now, in times of crisis, concerns were raised many issues of existential, existential plan, an exhibition of Vladimir Titov is particularly timely. Marble Palace For the first time in St. Petersburg will be presented a personal exhibition of paintings of Moscow artist-émigré Vladimir Titov, now living in France. The structure of the exhibition will include 45 works from the collection of the author. Vladimir Titov was born in Moscow in 1950, studied with the legendary nonconformist artist Vasily Sitnikov. In the future, and he joined the movement. Themes of his works Titov draws among the urban fringe-dwellers, alleys, its characters - outcasts inhabitants of the megalopolis. But his art is not a continuation of the traditional Russian art, descriptively household tradition, it is not an option and Sots Art. Highlighting the seamy side of life, Titov finds it strange and unusual for the Russian tradition of poetry and beauty. http://rusmuseum.ru/exhib/lenta/exhi...ladimir_titov/ From my point of view, is an artist - Surrealist, but on preview glance it may seem that on the contrary, he is more "naturalist", and in the hard sense of the word. Analogy, for example, can be made with one literary phenomenon: recall the famous French "natural school" of the great masters of Emile Zola, though his novel "The Man Beast" and other similar. Zola because usually portrayed person in the most repulsive form, with the lowest and horribly dirty side. It turned out very realistic. Creativity Titova represents, in my opinion, a completely different version. Indeed, those wild dark figure, sometimes resolved in black and red, in fact, little resemblance to real people. This is not naturalism, there is the will of the artist some surreal shift, and instead of people having their black shadows, eerie look-alikes ... Yuri Mamleev Personal exhibitions: 1988 - Gallery Leucite, Berlin. 1989 - Gallery of Marie-Therese mowing, Paris 1990 - Studio Gallery Castel, Paris 1992 - Gallery Studio Castel, Paris 1993 - Gallery Jacob Kohnert, Berlin 1993 - French Embassy in Washington, DC 1994 - Gallery Theater Eyh-Alzette, Luxembourg 1997 - Studio Gallery Castel, Paris 1998 - Gallery L, Moscow 1999 - Paragon Gallery, Luxembourg 2000 - Studio Gallery Castel, Paris 2002 - Cinema Gallery, Moscow, CHA Public Meetings: National Fund for Contemporary Art, Paris Museum of Fine Arts, Zimmerly, New Braunsvik, USA http://www.gallerykino.ru/artists.php?id=16 In fact, we need to seriously look at this author ... If Tjutchev scolds him, that his painting is worthy of more attention. |

But what you may well like a caricature of brightly colored scenes with an indispensable figure in the background of the Kremlin Wasi, priporoshennyh snow, or anatomically dubious naked ladies with hypertrophic sirloin (note: I respect your tastes: in the life of each is free to their preferences in including a hypertrophied cereals, but the subject is something we now - no grains, and art)? Anyway, the artists came out of the studio Sitnikova only two - Vladimir Titov yes Alena Kirtsova. You do not see the continuity? I also do not see her, and thank God - Titov was able to go beyond the handicraft production of pictures for aliens and find your vision, your style. It seems that you are shocking scenes. And what about Bosch, Bregel, Bacon? See, within the same, only the letters "B" I found you examples of artists whose characters defecate and perform many other maloesteticheskie or reprehensible action, the only difference - is that these paintings had hung in the most prestigious museums around the world. So let's wait a bit, who knows where they will hang pictures Volodya Titov, a few decades? |
