Also here is one of my favorite "grandfathers" of Ukrainian painting. Past the good work just do not pass, be sure to "hook" on its own energy.

Maksimenko Nikolai Antonovich (born 1924)
Ukrainian painter, a master of landscape and still life. Born in with. Yaropovichi Zhytomyr region. In 1941 - 1942 he studied at the art studio in Magnitogorsk (y B. Degtyarev, and I. Grabar). Member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1960, People's Artist of Ukraine since 1994 Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine. Shevchenko (1994). He was awarded with the Glory III class., World War І Art., Labor Red Banner, medals. Lives and works in Zhitomir.
