I recently bought this album on the Russian collapse in St. Petersburg. The seller is no "history" did not know.

Almost all leaves are labeled with letters. Mark looks like a pencil.

1. In my opinion the letter is not signed by the artist(they are made with a pencil). My hypothesis is that this album is a trial version of book illustrations and notes made either by the author or editor of the book.

2. The illustration below gave me the opportunity to date the image 30 mi. Although of course it could be 60-s and 70-E.
