I have the impression that all accustomed to a large Number of counterfeit works Burliuk at Western auctions (Trinity, Aguttes, etc.) here and make conclusions based on this. That's not because one size fits all ....
I can say with great certainty say that something I know about the work Burliuk, especially the American period. For those who know his American period (do not know how many are those who know) all work at auction Shapiro absolutely no doubt. I should add that one of the works has an impeccable expertise of the State Tretyakov Gallery (you can see by visiting the website of the auction house), the other has a provenance from the Harbor Gallery in Long Island (where Burliuk he exhibited his work), next work is provenance of the ASA Gallery in Manhattan ( where Burliuk in life, too, has exhibited his work), some were bought from the artist's family, etc. Actually, reading these posts I have the impression that the faster they want to write something bad about something or other, with absolutely no arguments and not objectively. That is something and hurt. |
Amina I wrote my personal opinion, you have more on it and a forum to discuss, despite provenanasy (and not all of Burliuk auction with provenance), look at Burliuk-Korovin and do not.
about the "masterpiece" VLADIMIR IVANOVICH GAU Lot 56 (also with provenance) you really think "it" zacluzhivayuschim attention, it's just a cartoon! that, looking at these works can still argue, in my opinion enough to look. |

I actually agree with it Amina that poyavlyanie on U.S. auction of a large number of Burliuks, as well as works Podchernikova, Moses Sawyer, Sudeikina, etc. - nothing surprising. There, they are considered "Russian-American" and the authors have written in the States. Although counterfeiting is also missing. I am here to say that Shapiro did not like Burliuks - lots 30 and 31. Is this auction clearly "strange" work of the same Korovin, Polenova, Vasnetsov, Falk, Dubovsky, Zhukovsky, but there are also interesting, let Claudius Lebedev, and some more. Boskin I somewhere recently seen, at some auction sale. |

Here your message N4 from the topic "15 November 2008 auction Trinity International Auctions": "On the Trinity complete bullshit, it is all agreed." : shy::) |
With regard to the Trinity, then we all know that the auction is only due to counterfeiting, without them, they simply would have nothing to offer for sale, and do not have to be an expert to understand this. Auction Shapiro differs from similar aukionov for the better, that's actually what I meant.
If I do not know anything about Gau, so I write anything about him I will not, but I will not write that "Hau is a song", for example. Added after 28 minutes Again back to Burliuk. For those who do not know the history of American Burliuk has a very interesting literature, which will help to understand and learn to Katrina that period. Especially book Kathryn Draer "Burlyuk, 1944. The book was written with the participation of the Burliuk and the famous French artist Marcel Duchamp. After arriving in America in Burliuk 1922g.on began to cooperate with several galleries, among which particularly stands out Sosite Anonymous (20-30gg.), After moving to Long Island in 1941. and further to the first 50 years of Burliuk wrote many works in the style of Van Gogh and at the same time cooperating with the ACA Gallery in Manhattan, the gallery was one of the largest galleries in New York at the time, it led Herman Barron, a great admirer of Burliuk . In Long Island Burliuk lived in the city of Hampton Base, where he also worked with smaller galleries, but known, especially Harbor Gallery and Cold Spring Gallery. There is a book "Burlyuk in America" by N. Yevda. it is also very helpful in terms of recognition Burliuk. |
Amina, A where you can buy books about which you speak?
