Can I answer this question in terms of art - aesthetics and meanings of this performance, as I see them, rather than Freudian, to which you allude to Vladimir as a man to man.
Meanings of performance.
The first point: to the audience a young beautiful body beside osvezhovannoy carcass. No falling not the case. And the name "Carrion" - a hint at the eternal theme of the transience of life (impermanence of life): sooner or later, everything and everyone becomes a "scavenger".
The second point: the unity of the organic world. This value in this performance is achieved by means of art, aesthetic way. Of course, the author of this performance worked out all the poses and its position near the carcass. And the author of this photo is very aptly caught. That is, the girl and the carcass is absolutely equal.
The third point: Darwinian - survival of the fittest in nature. Strongest in this case - a man, a symbol of its strength here is a knife. The formal interpretation of a performance was on the plate (attached). But the choice of expressive means aunt, quite possibly, made a bet and has long articulated a set of attraction. It is attributed to Genghis Khan, but probably more ancient perefraz that the greatest pleasures - eating meat, to kill meat, ride on the meat and something else in the meat. Performances at this show, apparently, the most interesting. And they are only the opening and closing ... But still go and see the need, at least for comparison with the "invasion-exclusion". I do expect something from Baybakov-prozhekts declared and promised, Jean Michel Basquiat. Shall I?
