Bacon - slightly lower than the estimate, and Richter - slightly lower than the estimate (I never thought!) And Rothko generally gone for mere pennies - the lower estimate.

Lot " Three sketches a self-portrait ," Bacon has not reached the upper estimate , but another of his lot - " Sketch for a portrait" was sold for 4,521,250 GBP - almost double the upper estimate (1,800,000 - 2,500,000 GBP).
