"I Step Through Moscow". Exhibition of the Union of Russian Artists of the 65th anniversary of Michael Abakumov

February 1, 2013 at the cultural center "Dom Ozerov" exhibition at the Union of Russian Artists "Walking the Streets of Moscow", dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the People's Artist of Russia MG Abakumov.

The exhibition features over fifty works: quiet Moscow streets and boulevards, bustling stations and new areas, parks and historical sites. The exhibitors include National Artist of Russia, NE Zaitsev, VS Mironov, Honored Artists of Russia SI Smirnov, DA Shmarin and others.

It is symbolic that the exhibition will be presented and the work of the Michael Abakumov, who actually was behind the revival of the Union of Russian Artists.

The exhibition is timed to Abakumovskim reading that for the third time held in Kolomna. Title of the exhibition is not accidental, since almost all union members are associated with the capital studies or living, and in the work of each of them, Moscow is a special place. Creative way the Mikhail Abakumov also connected with the capital, where he taught for a long time.

In 2008 in Moscow, a group of Russian artists was revived legendary Union of Russian Artists (SRS). The same name existed in Russia in 1903-1923 years. and united artists such as Vasnetsov, Vrubel, Konstantin Korovin, Mikhail Nesterov, V. Surikov and others.

Like a hundred years ago, the revival of the unions represent the best forces of the Russian realistic painting from famous during the Soviet era academics brothers A. and S. Tkachev to recent graduates of the Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Glazunov.

Since the revival of the CPX spent five reportable exhibitions in Moscow and organized a 3 mobile project for Russia. Exhibition at the Museum of Plyos landscape in 2011 visited the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

At the opening of the exhibition will be a private screening of the documentary film about the Union of Russian Artists "One hundred years of common history." The film was produced specifically for the TC "Culture" and will be released in wide release in May of this year.

The exhibition will run an interactive program for students.

The exhibition "Walking the Streets of Moscow" will continue until March 10.

On February 1, in the cultural center "Dom Ozerov" an exhibition of the creative association "Union of Russian Artists - New Age." The second part of the association's title suggests reestablishment in 2008 a group of Russian realist artists of the former union. Today the "Union of Russian Artists - New Age" brings together artists working in the genre of realistic painting, which features interest in national traditions and history, the Russian landscape.
