In the name of one of the figures in the word «Tcherkesse» ( Circassian ) vertical base "T" crossed . A signature is not present.

Perhaps these pictures belong to Rudolf Kazimirovich hand Zhukovsky (1814-1886) ?

On the Internet, found some pictures of Zhukovsky Rudolf , capital letters in his name and the names are very similar to the existing «RZ» on watercolors with the Cossacks. In the years 1842-1843 , based on figures published by Zhukovsky RK series of lithographs Joukowsky, R. Scenes Populaires Russes. St. Pet., Daziaro, lith. Lemercier a Paris ( Russian folk scene). The collection of 100 lithographs (black and white and color) , 48 of which are made to the design of Zhukovsky RK
All the watercolors Cossacks numbered (16 , 27, 32). This may confirm the theory that the original drawings RK Zhukovsky signed «RZ» dark ink and faded names ( faint signature drawings by the author) are duplicated in French editor Oreshkovo ink prints in preparation for printing.
In the public domain did not find a single reference to the available for sale or viewing data lithographs. If anyone has this book or information on Paris lithographs Zhukovsky RK , please .

RK Zhukovsky from late 1842 release autolithographies called " Russian folk scene." Appeared in the " Literary Gazette " of the time a review of these publications gives them a high score , and compares with the work of lithography Zhukovsky V. Timm (obviously not in favor of the latter).
