Здравствуйте форумчане. Помогите найти информацию о выставке "Parallax Art Fair" , которая проходит в Лондоне at La Galleria, Royal Opera Arcade. Буду очень признательна. С уважением , Ирина.:)

Irynka, Спасибо за интересную тему и участие! Мероприятие (первое впечатление) кажется стоит внимания . (поеду в Октябре и доложу).

Условия:
1) All work must be original and by the artist

2) Prints on sale must be original – that is involving the “hand of the artist” in their production, unless it is part of the conceptual aspect of the work that they are not i.e. that your work is ideas-based.

3) Artists cannot sublet their space or any part of it to another party without prior permission.

4) Artists cannot display the work or services of another party without prior permission.

5) We require a non-refundable 25% deposit to hold your space. The remaining 75% is to be paid within 14 days thereafter. If you drop out up to 8 weeks before the event we will refund the 75% remainder of your payment. If you drop out after that time we will endeavour to sell the space and refund your 75% payment, but cannot guarantee that.

6) If the event is cancelled we will return your payment in full but cannot be held liable for any additional expenses incurred.

7) You are responsible for your own insurance of your work (theft and damage) and public liability (third party). AN magazine provide good insurance for artists at reasonable cost through their AIR scheme.

8) All work does not need to be for sale

Opening hours

The fair involves two showcase exhibitions taking place on October 14th-16th and October 21st-23rd. Entry is FREE to the public.

Showcase Exhibition 1 focuses on international abstraction and conceptual work. It opens:

Friday 14th Oct: 10am - 6pm
Saturday 15th Oct: 10am - 6pm
Sunday 16th Oct: 10am - 5pm

Showcase Exhibition 2 focuses on international figurative and conceptual work. It opens:

Friday 21st Oct: 10am - 6pm
Saturday 22nd Oct: 10am - 6pm
Sunday 23rd Oct: 10am - 5pm

То есть, это будут две сессии: международное абстрактное и концептуальное иск-во: 14-16 октября (3 дня)
И международное фигуративное и концептуальное иск-во.21-23 Окт (3 зня)
Вопрос: если работы захотят купить, каковы комиссионные?

Мне написали что берут 3% - 4% от продажи. Это самые низкие цены ..... Но так ли это? :(

Мне вот что странно: контактных телефонов нет, а также нет регистрационных реквизитов мероприятия...(как то подозрительно..)
Известна ли схема кто у кого арендует? Галерея эта сама сдаёт в аренду помещение..Просветите пожалуйста!

Вот Роял Опера Аркад Галерея предлагает (с телефонами И пр.) возможность аренды галереи (Параллакс Арт Фаир в её плпнах я не нашла):

NATA NOVA, рада знакомству!!! Написала я в эту галерею письмо с вопросом о этой выставке. Жду ответа.

НАТА, ну Вы же прочли пункт- "мероприятие может не состояться".
То есть изучают спрос- наберется народ- арендуют.

Кратко:НЕ стоит беспокоиться....

NATA NOVA, не стоит беспокоиться это как? Приделить внимание этому событию или это просто развод на деньги ?:(

Irynka, Имелось в виду: неизвестным художникам (без пап, мам, жён, мужей олигархов и туканов) не стоит беспокоиться, т. к. ни продаж, ни продвижения, ни "информационного повода" ожидать не приходиться.. (со слов участвовавшего).
Так, экскурсия..(моя интерпретация)..
А где Вы 3-4% комиссионных вычитали?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the selection process? Will it be curated?
We are looking for a balanced exhibition of high quality and original work in different media,
styles and subject matter. Exhibitors will be selected based on the quality of their work/ideas
and the artist statement on their application form. The show will be curated by a professional
curator.
Is Parallax AF the same as the Parallax exhibition held in 2010?
The Parallax exhibition was a show exploring new theories in art history through specific
represented artists. The connection is that, because of the new theories, Parallax AF
encourages a much broader and diverse range of submissions in any kind of media and
approach than other fairs and open exhibitions. It also adds to the importance of the Parallax
AF event.
What work can I submit?
You can submit any type of work in any media, genre or approach. However, please keep in
mind the size of the gallery and think carefully about what pieces will work well in your
measured space. A 10ft painting for example would need at least 10ft viewing space and so
would not hang at its best. If the selectors or curator thinks your work maybe too large, but
feels your practice would complement the exhibition, we will contact you about smaller
pieces.
Who is responsible for setting up/taking down?
Artists will be given their display space and they will hang their own work. However, the
curator and invigilators will be on hand to help and to ensure that the show is hung
professionally.
Do artists need to be present daily?
Artists do not need to be present daily if they do not wish to be. There will be invigilators in
the gallery at all times. However, artists must collect their work on Sunday at 5pm. Any art
work left in the gallery after this time will be at La Galleria’s discretion.
Is there a commission charge on sales? And what happens if work sells? Packing Facility?
For artists that wish to sell their work, there is no commission taken on sales if paid in cash
or by cheque. (2.9% commission [3% for American Express] charged on credit card sales to
cover La Galleria’s administration costs – taken from the selling price.) The selling process is
between the buyer and artist. The packing facility and credit card terminal point will be on
the ground floor.
For artists that do not wish to remain in the gallery, the invigilators will take the contact
details of potential buyers and pass them onto the artist as soon as possible. The selling
process will be between the artist and buyer.
What kind of prices should I sell my work for?
Unless you are an established artist with a current client list and a price record, you should
be thinking of prices under £1500, especially if you are an emerging artist. Like any:(

Вот какие цены рекомендуют для начинающих художников- до 1500 фунтов, т е более 2000 долл.
Коммисия берется, если покупатель платит кредиткой через терминал галереи, поскольку банк снимет с галереи процент за обслуживание платежа.
