"The sleeping area. School № 109. Open lesson "- a total installation, placed on every floor of the school. And in fact - the master-class contemporary art for students, teachers, parents and residents of the sleeping area on the south-west Moscow, where the famous school № 109, and for anyone interested in actual art of inhabitants of our city. Curators of the project Marina Zvyagintsev and Yuri Samodurov was invited to participate in the project 58 modern artists. Among the authors - T Atiyah Antoshina, Anne Brochet, Alexander Brodsky, Vladislav Efimov, Konstantin Zvezdochetov, Marina Zvyagintsev, Yuri Zlotnikov, Sergei Katran, the group "Blue Noses (Vyacheslav Mizin and Alexander Shaburov), Nicholas Polissky, Leonid Sokov Leonid Tishkov, Igor Shelkovskiy and many others. We went on a similar exhibition in Lyubertsy. This is something! There is something to smile and even amazed! Some work just shook its complex simplicity. That is because, on the surface the idea ... But already collect such color artists of contemporary art ... in the same space ... Even at school, which would seem in principle not suited for such experiments ..

Actually, the organization and conduct of this project in the school № 109 and is based was made possible based on the experience of organizing curators Marina Zvyagintseva and Alexander Panov exhibition of contemporary art at secondary school № 45 (Lyubertsy) in September 2010, her supervisors - Marina and Alexander Zvyagintsev Panov first in the country, and perhaps in the world have successfully implemented new guidelines, developing public art (demonstration objects of contemporary art outside museums and galleries), namely: the principle of placing works of contemporary art throughout the space of a nemuzeynogo institutions (in this terms of exhibition in the school № 45 was absolutely innovative) and the principle of the show in nemuzeynyh institutions of contemporary art thematically related issues and the context of these institutions. Director of the school № 109 Evgeny Yamburg had once hosted the exhibition of contemporary art "Artist's Book" (it was the curator Yuri Samodurov). Having behind the successful experience of interaction between students and teachers of his school with contemporary art and artists, and saw he really liked the exhibition "The sleeping area. Stopping School, EA Yamburg dared to even more risky, complex, and a new step: we prepared the exhibition "Open lesson will work in the school № 109 in two weeks in parallel with the learning process.

I remember the emotional feeling from the first exhibition of sleeping areas. Stopping School. Huge yard-Platz in front of Lyubertsy school. (This was the cadet school, kids walked through the corridors of a military uniform, and the school yard they did was parade ground). And there - under the hot June sun - a huge flock of huge wooden rooks Nicholas Polissky Lenivetskih and crafts.
Inside - unexpectedly encountered here and there - something in the dining room, the recreation, but if not, the teacher - the objects. Here's Tatiana Antoshina with threads stretched from the windows - all in the sun. Or with our Earring Bazilevym installation: Old postwar desk, adorned with rhinestones. Called "The Making of Patrice Lumumba."
And - the ratio of children. Surprisingly respectful. They protected objects (at the request of Administration). And - I saw - saw them, touch them. Something even discussed.

But, say, the exhibits of my favorite characters - Lehi Garikovicha (plaster figure of a guard, "the Boss"). Or Sergei Qatran "Match" (2,5 meters high, surrounded by a group of fire extinguishers) - a very powerful vertical - were set against the backdrop of dazzling sun window at the end of the school corridors. Both sculptures were lost, to be honest.

Well, yes! Of course there were different objects, and something-likes, but something not very much. The children were ecstatic.
