There is even some eastern mystique with rough simplicity of the carved figure of a ship, oblezshey and darkened by time. I would, for example, did not give that kind of thing to have around. Very sorry, that restoration would cost much more than the picture itself. Although, if your family heirloom, this question acquires a different dimension.
