        Hagop Markarovich [5 (17). 12. 1881, Shusha, Nagorno-Karabakh now AO - 28. 12. 1948, Paris], Armenian sculptor. He studied in Paris at the Académie Julian (1906-10), attended the studio of A. Rodin. From 1914 he worked in Moscow since 1921 - in Paris. In the work of G. intricately mixed features of the ancient art of Oriental and modern Western European tendencies. Among his best works: portraits of Gorky (1914), S. Rachmaninoff (1915, both - bronze), MS Saryan (1927), G. 1935 Azizian begins to participate in the republican and all-Union exhibitions with thematic pictures ("Music", "Happy Life", "Meeting with Chkalov, Baidukov, Belyakov Moscow") and the works of other genres. The theme of the artist's post-war fifteenth began life at the front, military episodes ("The Capture of the fortress in the Park Humbolt Haym on May 2," "Last trophies, etc.) and images of war veterans. During these years he also creates paintings on the peaceful life, native people, portraits intellegentsii and foremost production.

This exhibition is not summed up the passed half a century artist and not a selected works of different periods. All presented works Ts Azizyan primarily relate to the last period of creativity, the artist, based on experience from previous decades, has created his best paintings. Looking back at their exposure, penetrating light, lyrical mood and affectionate feelings for his native land, flourishing under the sunny skies of Armenia.

Ts Azizian wrote his landscapes in the village of Karbi (Ashtarak region), where he was born. The nature of native land never ceased to excite him since childhood. Since 1960 the artist "secondary" settled in Karbi, which became the main source of his inspiration. In painting, the artist for two decades is dominated by the Karbi landscapes and its environs. This new period of creativity Ts Azizyan linked to the new artistic challenges.

Unlike earlier landscape artist tends to intimate chamber decisions images. In them he gives less acute features native wildlife, as its condition, corresponding to its emotions. Landscapes of the late period - is painted suites on native land, its spring and summer, autumn nature. These features are clearly evident in the artist's best works - "Blue Hills" (1979), "The brook in the garden" (1980) and others.

Motives landscapes Ts Azizyan always simple and laconic. Thus, in the painting "Spring" (1983), one of the recent history of performance, the artist depicted only two flowering tree growing in the garden. With subtle color relationships, creating iridescence colors, it reaches a silky texture, special scenic environment, reporting to the higher emotions.
