Strictly speaking, the "light " and " color" - different concepts. Their idea relates wavelength. The light depending on the wavelength of the radiation can be of any color. The complex (integrated ) radiation seems to us white light.
When white light is passed through a prism , as shown artcol, you'll find that each wavelength has its angle of refraction , and the result will see the expansion of white light into its components : red light , yellow light , etc. That is talking about the color of light, and highly experienced in physics in memory pops up a numeric value of the wavelength .
