Reconstruction of "Victory over the Sun" at the Theatre of Stas Namin
Yesterday at VLADEY met with Stas Namin . He said that in his theater will premiere March 27 ( as I understood) Opera Kruchenykh Matyushina and Malevich " Victory Over the Sun ." And emphasizes that this is a joint reconstruction with the Russian Museum , and not arbitrary interpretation , as it was before in other theaters .
I will try to go . Read here: http://www.stasnamintheatre.ru/performance/victory/ That's what they say in theater playbill : One hundred years ago in the town Uusikirkko near St. Petersburg (now Leningrad region Glade ) happened very, very small grand event : "First All-Russian Congress of the Futurists ." " Very small" because participants "congress " was only three : Alex twisted , Michael Matushin and Kazimir Malevich . " Grand " is because of what they were members - first, and that they are on this " congress " invented - second . And come up with these guys - no less - to create a theater of the future under the appropriately named " Budetlyanin " and yet devised cubic futuristic opera " Victory Over the Sun ." What came of it ? Very much . For example , the famous "Black Square" by Malevich , which appeared for the first time as part of the scenery , " Victory over the Sun " or the same costumes that are now the golden fund of the treasury of world art. In this same fund occupy a worthy place and " nonsense " twisted and prologue written genius Velimir Khlebnikov ... First productions - amateur and controversial - there were only two: the first in 1913 in St. Petersburg , and the second - in 1920 in Vitebsk. After this " victory " long forgotten , but after the eighties there was a real explosion : opera tried to reconstruct the outstanding masters worldwide. We also, in collaboration with the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg , decided to contribute to the revival of classical avant-garde. |
This year, the most serious in the world fair of the old art and modernism TEFAF, which will be held in the Dutch Maastricht from 13 to 22 March, for the first time in 20 years there will be a gallery dealing with the art of the Russian avant - garde to participate in the fair invited the London gallery James Butterwick.
Its owner James Butterwick, art dealer and collector, has long been involved in graphics Russian avant-garde works of Alexander Bogomazov, but gallery in London opened only three years ago. On its stand, he will sell the paintings and graphics of Alexander Bogomazov, the work of a pupil of Malevich Lazar Khidekel, graphics, Natalia Goncharova, Aristarkh Lentulov, Boris Grigoriev. James Butterwick: [QUOTE][FONT="Georgia"]I do Russian art in 1987, when I bought my first Russian film - Bakst at Sotheby's. Then for some time I lived and worked in Russia, and nine years ago has left and is now engaged in Russian art in London. Of course, for me, the invitation to participate in the fair in Maastricht fantastic. For this fair, the main criterion is the provenance proved the origin of the painting, which guarantees its authenticity. So I took a few works Lazar Khidekel his heirs and selected paintings and graphics by Alexander Bogomazov, whose work in recent years specifically deal with impeccable provenance. For me it is very important that all went smoothly, with no scandals (which recently became associated art of the Russian avant-garde), so I had the opportunity to return to the TEFAF in the coming year and to my customers, too, came back to me. Some of the works that I'll take in Maastricht, already seen in Moscow - a small exhibition in the office of the Moscow Sotheby's and Antique shops. So what? I am sure that the Western audience wants to see good things Russian. On the Russian art market is now falling, it's a fact. But on serious things prices hold. Can't complain: last year I sold a lot. The highest price of the graphics on my stand will be £700 thousand, this work Liubov Popova, and Lazar Khidekel, whom I consider an artist level Chashnik and Suetin, will cost from £60 thousand My goal is to return the high status of Russian art, to make it understood that it is possible to buy the Russian avant-garde at the right price and without riska@ |

How to reach anyone to get under the cash flows of the Russian avant-garde that no student sketches to rank "to the monument of culture of the Russian avant-garde Museum value."
And Fauvism - single song: repeated for the 20th anniversary of his techniques and has become a avant-garde. I say that now just repeat a good direction, and after 300 years, still no one can distinguish faces - 100 years, 100 years after ... the Main thing is that the painting has been preserved and the artist was born on the territory of at least Moldavia. |
Dear Fed., judging by Your skepticism to work Arapov, You probably the artist himself and seriously worry that Your pictures to anyone except You don't need. But work Arapov demand on the world market, (more than 37 sales at auctions) Yes and if You read the article, you'll see that Arapov were completely sold his lifetime exhibition. And most importantly, all of the presented work is genuine, and not boring all the "phonies". By the way the early work of Goncharova and Larionov expensive their work late (Mature) stage of their lives abroad. The same applies to works of the father of Russian futurism D. Burliuk.
