At the Gagosian Gallery will sell 10 recent works of de Kooning
10 works by the American artist Willem de Kooning will be sold during the exhibition in Gagosyan Gallery in New York. It is reported by The New York Times. A few years ago Elderfild organized a retrospective exhibition of de Kooning at MoMA . Willem de Kooning Foundation decided to put paintings for sale due to the fact that he needed the money for the development of educational and research initiatives. Representatives of the Foundation hopes to help out with sales of 10 paintings by more than 30 million dollars. The decision not to sell the painting at an auction , and during the exhibition, the fund attributed to the fact that "the presentation is just as important as profit ." Member of the Foundation Board and a former lawyer de Kooning , John L. Eastman said that the exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery will provide the necessary visual and dramatic impact on potential buyers of paintings.
