TS
says - bone, probably so.

Made of bone (ivory, for example) unless painted colors?

redbor 24.11.2013 19:24

Sure.
Much on offer meets Chinese ivory figurines, painted.
However, not as nice as this.
Here, for example.
Carving out the bones
.
Not sure, however, that that elephant tusk

elephant tusk,

More like a porcelain.
Stained bone looks a little different than the statuette presented.
And at the end, I did not see "annual rings" inherent in the present tusks ..

IMHO

Statuette likely modern China , imitation Kutani . Porcelain or earthenware . Photos are disgusting. About 15,000 rubles smiled . <! - ~ 7 ~ ->

Strange as that , you say that the bone , and was bought in '84 in Krasnodar , and you keep saying that the modern china , and even porcelain or earthenware, why would a man write ivory if it is porcelain, you can explain , or do you think that everyone wants to cheat just for you , such a great and intelligent, why put under doubt the word of a man who asks for help in assessing what he wrote , because his mom bought it and kept the 30 year old house , and you saw the greatest modern china , you discriminated against yourself! No offense is so I thought !

No, it is not Japan and ceramics.
This figurine Chinese Buddhist Goddess of Mercy Kuan Yin, carved their bones, obviously - elephant tusk.

Price figurines of ivory was initially very high.

Solovlad, I first wrote his report that imitation of Satsuma , then edited by Kutani . What is porcelain or earthenware, I have no doubt . And 99%of modern Chinese . Instead of having to write verbose tirades owner should make a couple of threads quality pictures . Something similar .....

Solovlad 26.11.2013 19:35

Zeya, you are absolutely right, that's just it though Japan.
From SW.
