foreign actors put up a monument to Chekhov's heroine without hands

Head of the European Association of theatrical culture and international theatrical center in Berlin AktZent Yuri Al'shits invented an unusual way to mark the 150 anniversary of Chekhov, which falls on January 29, 2010. He invited the actors to go on the path of Nina Zarechnoj - Character "Seagull" - and go to Elec, where Chekhov's heroine goes to the end of the play. Consent to participate in the rally gave 50 people from 10 countries, wrote "Newspapers" (GZT.RU).
Planned Al'shits, actors will have to meet Jan. 27 at the Paveletsky railway station in Moscow and to go to the general car Elec (Mira was traveling in third-class carriage). Even there, they should "start to recall Chekhov, treating passengers wild garlic, and chehartmoy epihodovskim 'kvass with cockroaches' referred to in Chekhov's plays, thinking and reading the letters that Nina could write Treplev of Yelets," the paper says.

In the following two days of celebrations planned for the anniversary of Chekhov, including presentation of excerpts from plays and installation of tiles for the future of the monument Nina Zarechnoj. Each of the actors will have to bring stone by stone, which will put in the foundation of the future monument. He, according Al'shits, will become a monument of acting profession.

According to "Gazeta", to such a vision of Chekhov's anniversary skeptical Yelets power. They did not accept the version of the great actor's improvisation, and officials are required to draw up an action plan. They offered to postpone anniversary at a later date, but the actors still intend to go. However, because of difficulties with invitations from the administration, which came not to all the participants, many had to contact the travel agency to obtain a visa.

We are young. We have stockings to darn.
We find it difficult. This is the fault of youth.
But the roar of a cheap curtains
free air, smelling the spring.
We have - not dolls or balls
and as once dreamed of long ago
us in the dark park are treated to the boys
swings, and kvas, and movies.
Forgiven for cotton dresses
and worn our heels.
We are young. None of us crying.
Laughing, white teeth and fight.
How to smell the night! Wet stones, pier,
pollen of flowers, myatoyu, sand ...
We are young. We are looking strictly intently.
We love to argue and walk ...
Oh, do not forsake us, clear, spring,
when another adult, good luck
us on other roads lead.
Let us be proud of, as in girls,
not change the first "yes" or "no."
And let the moon shining money
remain more expensive than all the coins.
Life - anvil. Raise hammers!
At the youth - the main cause.
We are young. We will be forever young
look in the river, in the book, in the mirror ...

Everything grows, that is sown:
and each shoot, and my life.
Spring green gloss Crimean
reminded me where I am.

And if you think carefully --
let life difficult, and the world is cruel, --
but I am still in the womb
was that a glossy leaflet.

As in the term of dense buds pushed
forever blinding sheets,
I was born from the mother flew
and put her fists.

And still at risk, I
and in this battle stance.
And - a twig overhead
prickly-affectionate,
Crimean.

I like the earth
that was in ruins for centuries.
Heaven is very tight,
very difficult for me to get used.

I downpours beater.
I was burning through the sun-drenched.
Weight of all time,
like an army,
I walked on.

But for what I'm sky
dragged doggedly and faithfully,
love me
and rain and wandering winds.

Loved me
my vacant lot less wealthy.
And let me
roads to their nepokatym.

I go and do not foul work,
me, my old sky!
I sing and laugh
where other helplessly mute.

I go and do not foul work --
beneath me my old grass!
I do not fear.
I donated it to the right.

I own a birch,
in haystacks and mocking rivers.
All my resentment
plantain dusty treated.

I do not have to ask
no sleep, no food, no light --
I own at their
woods, backwaters and twigs.

A tribulation --
Step I, shall call his name ...
I have their own.
I take every tree.

Years and years!
You have passed?
Well, maybe you came upon?
Do nightingales
Ott, otsvistali?

Otblistalo as many days
but in all that I left
everyone happy, all the more painful
I love every little.

I have that - cold, that - the heat,
that - whoopee, that - work ...
Dying time has come
and bear children hunting!

Oh, do not put me in the guilt
sin beautiful discord!
Turned to spring!
Well, maybe the way it should? ..

Dawn, airport,
all again in front
Beloved, I am working.
Favorite, wait!

Well, sitting side by side b ...
But I'm so with you
But life - it is as nucleolus
a strong shell.

I'm going to smile cheerfully
and the world is shivering, soaked
Work, work,
holds, as a float.

Boil midday sweaty,
flies overnight to zero ...
Work, work!
I love you, love you.

And in a wonderful hour interview
is not it - one syllable,
becomes apparent secret --
clearer slightly

Separation carefree.
The vast expanses - the ship!
Love you. Working.
Working. Love!

No personal life
different from the others,
personal,
Primary ...
Oh, analysts - all about politics!
No personal life.

Heart is not felt,
Being already wanted
just piggy bank.
And do not peep
someone with a flower
or bottle.

No privacy!
No longer shines
a powerful and small.
No personal life.
And the neighbors --
directly in bulk!

I have them, should be, hate,
Chills for skin!
I kiss I hear through the walls.
But sobs - too ...

The scientists
and secure
the world's false.
Perhaps, the hell with it,
empty, useless
personal life?

But all bubbles,
sunset prophesies
what could be.
After kissing
Still louder
sound,
What sobs!

No personal life.
The taste is lost
the target motion.
No privacy!
I watched series ...
Waiting continue.

Suddenly a will - whisper: "My daughter ..."
Eternity embraces us in peace,
something and she promised me

Letter to his son,

passing military service

Everyone loved my son, --
because in the heart of faith.
As for those - the crown, a wreath,
for others - just a broom.

You take everything properly since a sense --
that water in a mortar to pound us? --
carry out an honest debt,
and another - in debt indefinitely.

You squeeze himself into a soldier's uniform,
I compressed his universe ...
Do you have a sergeant!
I'm so not a sergeant.

Do you - do not the dove,
Well, after all - bosses.
I - one only God,
And he did not often condescend ...

It is only necessary to understand
What we are happy in the world
Do you have all the same mother!
I - alone children.

But how to win the battle --
obscheyu our destiny:
you have you and I,
I have we with you!

Love Russia is not easy
is in the potholes and trenches
and the smell of fighting - in the past
and those that so far ...

But at least shall be given, perhaps,
Love for Love almost,
immeasurable, as they gave,
not get tired soul to love.

Country, as the truth, one --
it becomes stranger
and joyful, and well-trodden
You do not need a road.

I lost no fear,
as invisible grain of sand,
in the interior of the city, repair,
village, passing, miles and years.

Homeland milk and honey
will overcome any bitterness.
And the sweet love Russia!
Although loving and easy.

Life line, groove
tightly to drive in the palm.
As I tired to fight!
God, where did
This enthusiasm young?

God dried up inks
not erase the overweening
that destiny draw,
that only humbly read.

Joyful, strange, terrible
believe, by razor glide!
As I tired to fight!
A fight is not impossible.

blood in the Museum

February 8, 2010, the 173rd anniversary of the last duel Pushkin apartment museum of the poet on the Moika a conference, which was announced long-awaited sensation. At the disposal of the museum was a sofa on which the poet died. In order to confirm the authenticity of furniture, required examination of blood stains, conducted by criminologists. One of the most interesting details of the criminal-history of literary criticism was that where it found the sofa Pushkin. It turns out that the last 70 years he was under the very noses of the museum community, in a house on the Moika.

Museum in the house where Pushkin family rented an apartment from the autumn of 1836, was created in the late 1920's. By the time of Pushkin things there, of course, no longer exists, and the building itself has changed considerably. In the finished museum began to collect things, how can more directly associated with the life of the poet. There were descriptions of furniture, standing in the apartment, so, sofa, fit under one of the descriptions (a red morocco leather, boxes for bedding), was found in the vaults of the Hermitage, and he was handed over to the apartment on the Moika.

The fact that the sofa can not be simply "the era," as ironic wrote Dovlatov, but really, thereby, in which Pushkin died, the first suspected curator-flat Galina M. Sedova. She spent of searching for the origin of furniture and found that the museum restored to the poet's cabinet gave its scientific secretary of the Hermitage Mark Philosophers. Then he told me that according to legend sofa got his ancestors from Pushkin, but the family legend is not really believe. Philosophers was a descendant of nobility: for this he was shot in 1938. His grandfather, a landowner Dmitri philosophers, had an estate near Pskov, in the village Bogdanovskaya that 60 miles from Michael's. Sedov was able to clarify that, after Pushkin's death, some things were transported to Mikhailovskoye and then Natalia Pushkin they simply handed out (to other versions that have fallen into the media, furniture Filosofova could obtain from the wife of the poet's youngest son Gregory). In addition, the spots were found on the couch, but that it - blood, or, say, coffee, the hostess of the museum itself, of course, could not find.

It was decided to appeal to criminologists who have sought to Sofa upholstery is stained with blood. They really helped that the sofa was kept in the vaults of the Hermitage, for many years never restored. The results of this preliminary examination were presented a year ago, in February 2009. The Deputy Chief of Bureau of forensic Leningrad Oblast Yuri Molin spoke about a kind of experiment, which was held: "We have found themselves in the state of a doctor who meets the age and stature of Pushkin, put him on the same sofa. Through the experiment, as well as knowledge about the nature of the wounds of the poet (a bullet in the abdomen), experts were able to determine the region on the couch, where there is a search. 27 samples were carried out, one of them showed the presence of blood on the sofa, and men's blood.

This result, coupled with the remarkable history of the sofa and began to justify a costly examination. Forensic again collected blood from the couch ( "We dare to suppose that many hours of bleeding was accompanied by not only the spreading of, but soaking the deeper layers of upholstery sofa. We were able to identify the precious red blood cells in narrow crevices of upholstery - quoted Yuri Molina Interfax). Then it was compared with blood, which remained on Pushkin's vest. Here it is worth noting that the value of this extraordinary exhibit, and museum staff had to step over themselves when they allowed the experts to work with the vest. Subject in any case can not be damaged ( "We could not use destructive techniques. There may have been wipes and scrapes, but in no case shall the notches," - explained the expert). Professionals had to put a compress of sterile saline on the spot with a vest. "Blood on the gauze was enough to make the classic forensic investigation and to determine the group. Blood was the second group. Thus, blood group on the couch and on the vest matched", - said Molin.

Parallel study was conducted Hair Pushkin, which were kept in the museum. We studied two samples at once: a locket with a curl of Pushkin, as well as the hair of some kind of boxes, the authenticity of whom had previously been questioned, RIA Novosti reported. The experts found that both the Lock belonged to the poet, but were taken from different parts of the head. Moreover, it became clear that the hair had the same morphological characteristics as the blood.

Thus the probability that on a sofa, having got into the museum by accident, in fact, Pushkin died, now estimated at 99 percent. Otherwise, how wonderful event it is difficult to call, but the museum staff can only congratulate. Hopefully now that the sensational discovery, which paid enough attention to the media, leading to the museum-apartment of the poet as many new visitors.

It former head of the government, in particular, stated that he feels responsible, but no regrets about the beginning of the Iraq campaign, in which Saddam Hussein was overthrown. OPENING OF THE MONUMENT AS PUSHKIN the Philippines, Manila

January 29, 2010 in Manila, the Philippines, was inaugurated monument to the great Russian poet AS Pushkin (Bronze, height-250cm.).

Author of the monument - the world-famous sculptor Gregory Potocki, by monuments, AS Pushkin in Russia, Germany, Turkey, Greece, Republika Srpska, the Republic of Ghana, Egypt, China, USA and Canada.

At the opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the Philippines, the governor and the mayor of Manila, the President of the Parliament of the Philippines Juan Ponce Enrile, former president of the parliament Manny Villar, who in 2009 visited the studio of the sculptor, and as a result of the meeting had the idea to establish a monument to A. S. Pushkin monument in Manila and the Philippine national hero, poet José Risale in Moscow, as well as sign an agreement stating that Moscow and Manila have become sister cities, also attended by the creative and the political elite of the Philippines.

More than 20 years, Gregory said Potocki Birthday AS Pushkin's and Lyceum day of the poet in his gallery, where in this day heard of the great poems of the poet, Russian and gypsy songs, classical music of the XIX century in the performance of the leading artists of Russia. Each year to celebrate the birthday of the great poet join new artists, those who share a love of Russian poetry and works of Alexander Sergeyevich directly.

Gregory Potocki - president and founder of the International Academy of Compassion created and installed more than 55 monuments in the world. Monument AS Pushkin donated by the International Academy of kindness, Russia - Philippines.
It is symbolic that the opening of the monument took place on January 28, the day when the great Russian poet AS Pushkin farewell to his wife, children, close friends ...

In memory of the great poet, we opened a monument in the city of Manila. This is the first cultural project, the installation of the monument, AS Pushkin from Russia - the Philippines, 34 years of diplomatic relations between our countries.

Each new monument to Pushkin is not like the previous one. And yet - is Pushkin. Height sculpture 2,5 m, but Pushkin looks the way it was in reality. The proportions of both guessed that create a genuine image of the poet. The internal impulse, dynamics, in contradiction with the fact that it rests on a reed, creates an entirely unexpected effect. This aspiration is not forward and upward to the stars! He relies not so much as pushing off with his cane on the ground. Cane as an artistic element is almost not used in the sculpture "Pushkiniane", but it is an important and characteristic detail for understanding the image of the poet. Emotional decision image in a monument so accurately conveys Pushkin, and some seemingly inaccurate forms, further reinforces the impression that we Pushkin.

International activities of the Academy of kindness, sculptor Gregory Potocki aimed at strengthening peace, friendship and cultural relations between our countries. We hope that with the installation of the monument to Pushkin in the Philippines and the monument to Jose Risale in Moscow between Russia and the Philippines will become closer and it will launch an active bilateral relations.

Spiritual max

Goncourt laureate Andrew Makin of the problems of Russian and French literature

Yuri Kovalenko

Fifteen years ago, Andrew Makin became the first Russian writer, received the Prix Goncourt for his novel "The French Testament". His novels were published in more than forty countries. In an interview with the Paris correspondent of "Izvestia" Andrew Makin regretted that the Russian - unlike Americans - were unable to create a "positive image" of the country.

News: What is the role played by the Prix Goncourt in your life?

Andrew Makin: "The French Testament" and to Goncourt had a circulation of about fifty thousand copies. Success, however, had little impact on my lifestyle. I have not got expensive cars, I do not have houses, and even a modest suburban home. Perhaps my life does not fit the ideal of material prosperity. Perhaps it affects rigoristskoe Soviet upbringing.

and: take lessons from Soviet life - a minimum of material and most spiritual?

Makin: This principle is close to me. Temptation? The question "to be or not to be" sounds today as "to be or have." Things, prestige, social roles owned by us, turning us into containers for all the excess. When provided with daily minimum, should think not about the takeover, but the creation.
Читать дальше...

and: Flour creativity - a heavy burden. They say when you wrote "Crime of Olga Arbelinoy", then just hang myself?

Makin: This is a journalistic exaggeration. "Although the noose away!" does not mean the intention to commit suicide, and necessary share of despair before perfection is unattainable.

and: All of your books were somehow connected with the historical homeland. But a couple of years ago, you said that the literary continent under the name "Russia" has already mastered.

Makin: It is frivolous hyperbole. To force a "master" Russia? From a young age I keep in memory a lot of stories, whole layers of human lives from the military or the prison of the past. And I continue to discover the amazing Russian destiny. Recently, French Polynesia, I met an elderly Tahitian, the widow of Russian Cossack officer who worked there after the war, the development of equestrian sport. Another Russian island of the archipelago.

and: In France, you write in French. But, probably, in Krasnoyarsk, where you were born, a try was in Russian?

Makin: In his youth, as so often happens, I tried my hand at poetry. But the choice of language is not the main issue. I often am in Australia and I think that, having lived there for ten years, I could write a book in English. But there is something more subtle and deep personal than the language in its purely linguistic sense. It is your own personal outlook. What language do you express it, of course, is important, but the main thing - to keep it absolutely personal and only you owned a spiritual and poetic essence. Balzac and Proust - two different French language. Stendhal and Gabriel Osmond (modern French writer. - "The News") - two different linguistic realities. Language - a cipher notation of your inner world. Worldwide unique, unique. And if the "repeatability", then with Latin and Sanskrit not make him a good book.

and: Why do some Russian classics did not like the French? Let's mention the "French poor," "Frenchman from Bordeaux ...

Makin: Russian seemed that the French have a lot of ostentatious - hypertrophy of the form over substance. Remember Fonvizin surprised, noting that the cuff of the French aristocrats lace, silk cuffs, and shirts from the canvas? And he answered: "Thus, under the doublet is not seen!"

and: So, Russian more sincere?

Makin: This is our sincerity can easily border on the breach of etiquette, rudeness, with the desire to get into the soul. In relation to his neighbor, we, Russian, now and then wake up in the pose of seeing God - judge, give lessons. Once in St. Petersburg, I saw a group of tightly drunken men and women. One of them made a very characteristic for Russia's verdict: "You're nothing to me!" This included sitting on the ground peasant. A person can not be "nothing." Most fallen - this "something". Broken - but fate. Deformed - but personality.

and: the current French writers can not be called rebels.

Makin: Not only the French. The world needs a spiritual revolution. A revolution without the broken chairs, palaces and national gene pool. Should be understood that the countdown to a whole series of apocalypse - the environmental, demographic, and nuclear - is already very briskly. And that humanity in its current technological-destructive incarnation simply unsustainable. The French, just about their speech, it would not hurt to start to overcome the epidemic of political correctness. The big advantage of this nation - acute Descartes thought, analytical mind. We regret will be if this intellectual strength of the solution in the wort diluted sweetish ideek.

and: Did the French social model so bad?

Makin: Its advantages have been transformed into weaknesses. Necessary social solidarity with the weak and sick promotes parasitism. Dozens of benefits disaccustoms work. Divided into two infinitely distant from each other class: freebooters-financiers and the huge mass of lumpen population, in which more prolonged impoverished middle class. The situation is explosive - the crisis proved it.

and: The French writer Jean-Marie Gustave Leklezio recently received the Nobel Prize. You will be surprised that choice?

Makin: This is an ideal winner. Humanist, conservationist and patriarchal civilization. His characters are always beautiful. That made me a little wary.

and: What are your chances for this award?

Makin: I'll read (laughs) and invite you to Stockholm as a correspondent for Izvestia. There is a saying: "Awards do not have to ask them to not have to give up, they do not have to wear. At one time, Bunin was delighted. I am less sensitive to the nuances. Maybe I lack ambition.

and: Well, someone from the Russian you would have given the Nobel Prize?

Makin: Dovlatov. I put it above Chekhov, although the comparison of this kind have no much sense. But he would have to give the prize posthumously. And this, in my opinion, is not practiced.

and: You have a lot of traveling in France. What relation to the Russian? Public opinion forming media?

Makin: In the French press is hard to find something that is not an article and a couple of good words about Russia. We ourselves are to blame. Not able to create a "positive image" of the country. Americans do not spare money, fabricating his image. In Russia, between the literary and cine "Tchernuha and Pop Clowns - just dull officialdom. But good luck in the creation of heroic images were - take the same spy. In comparison, James Bond - is mentally retarded sadist and vulgar nymphomaniac amenable to second-class alcoholic cocktails.

and: So, we must engage in propaganda?

Makin: For example, to show the best. In order for Russia not to be judged by the fact that it is the worst, which, alas, missing. You can calmly and patiently explain to Western readers what was a war for our nation and the epoch of Stalinism - not only on the battlefield and in the camps, but also in memory of the millions who died, who continued to live invisibly among us, and whose spiritual presence has taught us to think compassion, not to forget. We must talk about it here in the West. Otherwise, it will happen as in a recent book my friend the journalist: the liberation of Belgrade by the Soviet Army in its description - a robbery, rape and other savagery. It was unclear who could be fought. The same is now writing about the capture of Berlin. This delusion is becoming the norm.

and: Russia can not live without a strong hand?

Makin: No country can. Without a strong authority, without strong democratic institutions, without a strong independent and professionally responsible press, without a titanic strong culture. In culture, however, and would have to start this list. The English have an expression: "A steel hand in a velvet glove." This must be the power in a country that wants to survive in a turbulent and violent world. But the pens of writers and journalists are like steel. We have this rulers from time to time to remind.

and: The writer Dominique Fernandez recently published the book "Russian soul". He believes that the French have no soul.

Makin: I can assure you there! Other than us, more rational, well, thank God. They have never had such infinite expanses, where it is possible to surrender to chaos and anarchy, take heart, not the word be said. From the Gallo-Roman times the space in France is very concise. In the XIII century chronicler wrote: "The country is full as an egg."

and: In the present century, it is so complete that it threatens Islamization?

Makin: All will depend on the ability of France to assimilate the Afro-Muslim immigration. Will the French a hundred years to speak a new Franco-Arabic dialect? Or the world erupts in a flame-out war of civilizations? I do not think that humanity has in store a hundred years to think about. We must act today.

The project was named "Monument of Love": a kind of allegorical bronze bowls tree grows. Nadezhda and Osip like flying past behind them angel's wings, the poet holds the lists of manuscripts. The images are somewhat similar to "Lovers of the city" Malevich and transferred freely enough, the full portrait resemblance to Hanneken not tried. Arrangement will be installed in the courtyard of the Twelve Colleges on Vasilevsky Island. Initially, the Dutch like to place it in the courtyard of the Philological Faculty of St. Petersburg University, which already has several sculptures, including a monument to Joseph Brodsky, but were refused. Then, with an option for open-air gallery of the Museum of Anna Akhmatova, but that idea also failed to realize. The fact that the museum rents the land from the Sheremetev Palace, which in turn is a monument of federal importance. Placement of the monument require too much coordination.

Monument in St. Petersburg - the first part of the project "Monument of Love. A similar sculpture Hanneken de Münk plans to install in the courtyard of one of the Dutch universities to emphasize the strong cultural ties between Russia and Holland. Only then the project can be considered complete.
