Hence, also - and fundamentally new for the Soviet unofficial art image of the artist, not reclusive studio, not an intellectual leader and not gay alcoholic, and pop figures - fascinating, not only in art, and not so much ideas as paradoxical behavior, constant activity in a variety of spheres.


And here they are closest to the American "new wave" - ​​Basquiat, Keith Herring, Robert Rauschenberg. The proximity of this not only behavioral but also in the very manner of the "new artists": mock-furious poster neoekspressionizm Oleg Kotelnikov, thoughtful and very funny primitivist fir Sotnikova, schematic aggressive monsters Victor Tsoi, distinctly reminiscent of the Herring (Choi, incidentally, very cute pictured).
