The ARTIST ABRAM EFIMOVICH ARKHIPOV (1862-1930)

the Artist Abram Efimovich Arkhipov was born in August 1862 in a peasant family.
From early childhood, fond of painting. His talent was noticed by the teachers at a time when the future artist studied at the Church-приходской school.
1877 Arkhipov entered the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture, where teachers talented young man of steel V. D. Polenov, V. G. Perov, V. E. Makovsky, A. K. Savrasov, I. M. Pryanishnikov.
In 1883 Abram Arkhipov entered the St. Petersburg Academy of arts. But after two years of training left the Academy and returned to Moscow school – the artist decided that studying in school will give him much more than imitation learning in the Academy.
1888 Arkhipov graduated from the Moscow school with a silver medal and the title of the class artist.
In 1891 Abram Efimovich Arkhipov joins the society of traveling art exhibitions. The artist is a lot of fruitful work, some of his paintings ("po the river Oka"," Келейник"," Посещение big") acquires for his collection of P. Tretyakov.
Six years (1896 to 1912), the artist lives and works in Europe. This period receives the title of academician. In 1904, he comes out of the Association of traveling exhibitions and is actively involved in creating" Союза Russian художников".
After returning from Europe, two posts a trip to the North of Russia, writes the life of Northern villages and Pomerania.
After the October revolution taught at the GShM and at VKhUTEMAS. In 1924, becoming a member of the Association of artists of revolutionary Russia., and in 1927 – people"s Artist of Russia.
Died artist Abram Efimovich Arkhipov in September 1930. Buried in the cemetery Vagankovsky in Moscow.
