CLASSICAL REALISM

Mikhail Ivanovich Avilov @- Russian Soviet painter and teacher. From 1893 he studied at the Drawing school" Общества the encouragement of the arts". 1904 @- student of the Imperial Academy of arts (Studio of F. A. Roubaud, then @- N. S. Samokish).In 1913 for the picture" Молодой the Prince and the boyars-воспитатели" has the title of artist. In 1916, for the picture" Опричники" winner" Общества the encouragement of the arts". In 1918 he went to Siberia, where he worked with publishers, theatres, designed the holidays, taught at various art schools.1921 @- in Petrograd in teaching at the Drawing school" Общества the encouragement of the arts" and at the Academy of fine arts. 1923 @- a member of the Association of artists of revolutionary Russia, and then the Leningrad branch of Union of artists.Worked mainly in the genre of battle, master of historical paintings and animal pieces.In 1946, for the picture" Поединок Peresvet with Chelubey on the Kulikovo field" received the Stalin prize. 1947 @- full member AH the USSR, head of the workshop at the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin. In 1953 was awarded the title people"s artist of the RSFSR.
