Igor V Medvedev was born in Eastern Ukraine in the city of Novopskov Luhansk region. Finished physico-химический faculty of the Moscow Institute of electronic technology. He worked as an engineer, then graduating the faculty of history of arts all-Union Correspondence University of the arts, taught Fine arts in secondary specialized school.

Seriously engaged in painting since 1985. First solo exhibition was held in November 1990 at Vilnius Youth Drama theatre, after which Igor has fully devoted himself to painting. His work is on permanent display galleries and adorn private collections in Russia and abroad.

the Style of Igor Medvedev is difficult to confuse with the manner of other authors. His works combine the truth of life and irony, soft pastel tones and bright accents of colour.
