Fyodor Alexandrovich Vasilyev @ - a great Russian artist, landscape painter. Was born in Gatchina (Leningrad region) on 10 February 1850. From childhood he loved to draw and became of great interest. Surrounding saw his abilities and amazing talent, which in the future ought to unfold in full force. Leaving the service in the main post office, he entered the Drawing school society for the encouragement of arts in St. Petersburg. Here he met and became friends with such famous Russian artists as Ivan Kramskoy and Ivan Shishkin. In addition, Fedor Vasiliev were friends, worked together and traveled various regions of Russia to make paintings with painters such as Ilya Repin and Evgeny Makarov.
the Great Russian painter Fyodor Alexandrovich Vasilyev died 24 Sep 1873 in Yalta, where he was buried Polikurovsky cemetery. His paintings are considered a real asset to the whole of Russian art. One of the most famous paintings are: the View on the Volga. Barki, Volga lagoons, Thaw In the Crimean mountains, Morning, Abandoned mill, a Swamp in the woods. Autumn, Wet meadow, a Brick factory, the Village street, and many others.
