Henry Ryland — English painter, decorator and designer, was born in Biggleswade in 1856. Studied in London at the South Kensington Art School, and at Hatherley"s.

the Artist painted, but more often worked in watercolor. Work often became the basis for posters and prints.

Ryland is also the author of stained glass and prints, which have been used in a number of journals, including the English illustrated periodicals 1880-х and 1890-х years.
