The European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for new, free elections to the Duma in Russia. It is stated in a press release the European Parliament.
MEPs also called for re-election to register all the opposition parties.
In connection with the adoption of the resolution the deputies appealed to the President of the European Council Herman van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and European Commissioner for Foreign Policy Ashton with a call to raise the subject of elections in Russia-EU summit on December 14-15,
