(The cyclical character of time and human psychology)

The ancient Chinese were right in saying that by us as the law is direct two different principles: the Yin and Yang - the feminine, sensual, earthly origin and the one masculine, rational, ideal, heavenly...

As you know, at the person present (in different proportions) the both areas - and a rational and sensual or emotional.
Each person has their individual correlation - for someone may dominate rationality, for the other - sensuality.
More often by male prevails the rationality, by women – emotionality.
(It should be noted that there are men with a predominance of emotionality and women with more rational way of thinking).
Its both styles of thinking are necessary for the fullness of a human existence.
Without a feelings and intuition we can not determine a whole, and without a scheme and rationality to find one’s way and to work.
The sensual and rational orientation of the man has fluctuations during a time.
It is brightly expressed the changes in the mentality of the individual which is age-related...
But there are besides of the individual and certain synchronicity of other states of the changes, which is common to all without of exceptions.
By the all of us, every morning is the slowly waking consciousness and with it starts a rationality and activism. Then in the evening, little by little, the consciousness begins to shut down.
Here begins the realm of the unconscious life, when in a sleep is generalized what was done for the day.
We are all in a synchronic way having by every year the seasonal changes of the moods.
By the winter, spring, summer and autumn is changing their tone...
The proportions of rational and sensual have fluctuations...
Each of us who have lived a lot of years can recall the atmosphere of sentiment which suddenly appears like an epidemic that is covering the whole society, the whole world...
I mean new styles of art, fashions, hairstyles... There is similar even the look in ones eyes and pulse of a blood that is slowing down or speeding by the majority of the members of the society...
After more than forty years working on the book "The hours of history" I have find the ten-year’s intervals of the changing public sentiment, which has a global character.
This means that every 10 years there is the compulsory alternation of the thinking styles.
After of the active period, which bear the rational character, as a reaction occurs the sensory-reflective and meditative way of the reality comprehension.*
If for a daily and annual (seasonal) changing we are accustomed by the genetic level, so for the ten-year period "changing of moods" as a rule, are for us unexpected.
Therefore, it is impossible to underestimate the importance of knowing this cycle!
All human activity is obeyed for this rhythm...
It includes: and the philosophy and science; the arts, psychology and medicine.
Business and Politics...
In short everything that is connected with a man!
Do we know what will happen to us tomorrow?
No!
But the character, direction and style of this tomorrow event we can predict!

* Here is an example of the last 120-year cycle, where those decades are alternating (1885-2004):

6. 1935-44 + "The appeal to reality" (the perception) - "The Crash of Faith in the Mind" by Husserl. “The Nausea" by Sartre. “The Gestalt therapy” by Perls. – “It is enough of experiments” – “The need for “Faith” and “Craft” by Dali.
7. 1945-54 - "The active decade" (the action) – “The atomic bomb. - "The Democracy which is tearing the chains” - by Siqueiros. – “The period of art searching” - The “Abstract Expressionism”. – “The theater of the Absurd” by Ionesco. – “The pathos” by Tsadkin.

10. 1975-84 + "The appeal to reality" (the perception) – “The Mirror” film by Tarkovsky. – “The Melancholy”. – “Postmodernism”. – “Neo-conservatism” by Thatcher. - "The Point of inertia" by Baudrillard. - "The Book of Sorrow" by Schnittke.
11. 1985-94 - "The active decade" (the action) – “Perestroika” (SSSR). – “Massacre” (Baku). - The collapse of the Soviet Union. – “Shock therapy”. - "The Man-as-a Dog". – “Cynicism”.
12. 1995-2004 + "The appeal to reality" (the perception) – “The Meditation”. – “Dream”. – “The Turn back”. - "Glamour" by Galliano. - "The fourteen weeks of Silence", "Infinity" by (Zemfira).

(Above given the more significant facts, which determine the general mood).
Of course this is a simplified scheme. The reality is much wider. But without the scheme, plan and directions, we have the risk of getting lost.

P.S. Here is only a part of the cycles from my book. Its cycles in my opinion, do not reject the possibility of a different rhythms.
