Louis MAGR (Louis Magre) - French painter. Born in Paris in 1955. In adolescence he studied drawing and architecture, which was gradually abandoned to focus solely on painting. He currently lives in Provence, an area which fascinates him and which he likes to admire and draw.
early In his career Louis was drawing Nudes and portraits in charcoal; later, being a fan of artists-импрессионистов, including Sisley, Pissarro, Monet, and Seurat, he started to paint his local scenery. Following in the footsteps of Cezanne and van Gogh, the artist depicts a cloudless sky, the green of the olive trees, flowering plants and olive farm house, transporting us into the world of Marcel Pagnol. Especially contemplative when it comes to landscapes, he also paints the windy beaches in Brittany, flower-covered dunes in Normandy, the streets of Little Italy and the neon signs of Chinatown in new-Йорке, where he lived for three years.
His work - is a journey through one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, leaving the observer of his work, filled with amazement at the wonders created by nature. Today, he often focuses on the choice of materials in creating their works, to most faithfully represent the undulating countryside, which he loves.
Since 2007 the artist exhibited his works at the art Gallery and the arts in Pessac, Gironde, Le-Бо-де-Прованс, Saint-Поль-де-Ванс and many other galleries in France.
