The Art of Belarus of XIX - early XX century
After the third partition of Poland (1795), the Belarusian land became part of the Russian state. In 1840, as a result of the defeat of the liberation uprising in 1831, Belarus became officially known as "North-Western edge."

Nicodemus was born Silivanovich 13 (25) in December 1834 in the village Tsintsevichi, in the town Vilejka (Vilna province, not far from Molodechno) in the family land-hungry peasants.
