POST-ИМПРЕССИОНИЗМ
Aimee Alix (Alix Angele Marguerite Hava) was born in Marseille in 1894. Being very gifted in music and painting, she is at the age of 15 won the gold medal in the piano competition and was going to make a musical career, but later decided to become an artist. After the Conservatory, she moved to Paris and became a student and then colleague of the artist from the post-импрессионистской group" Наби" by Maurice Denis.
Alix married in 1920 and moved to Shanghai with her first husband, Professor Paul de of Futuro-Васселем, who was sent there with Franco-китайской mission. In 1926 they returned to Paris, and Professor of Futuro-Вассель remained in France but his wife, taking with him a young son, went back, determined to devote himself to Asia. More than 20 years the artist lived in the East, traveling to Indochina, India, Japan and Africa. She became interested in art Asia technique: painting on silk, glass, black ink, watercolor.
Alix Ayme died in 1989 at the age of 95 years. Her works are in private collections and in the Cabinet des Dessins in the Louvre, the musée des Années Trente in Paris, the Museum of fine arts in La-Рошели, and in the Royal Palace in Luang Prabang, Laos.
