ARTIST LOUISE MOILLON (LOUISE MOILLON) 1609 @1696 ndash
BAROQUE
Born into a Calvinist family. Her father, brother Isaac, and stepfather were selling paint and were themselves artists. The first drawing lessons Louise had received from his father, the landscape painter Nicholas Aiona, studied with the painter françois Garnier.
Most of her works — still lifes made exquisite technique, was made in 1630-х, to marriage in 1640 with a rich merchant Etienne Girardot de Securom. The last work written by the artist in 1645.
Louise Moillon have developed their own special style. The artist enjoyed great popularity. Among connoisseurs of talent and patrons of Moyon were representatives of the highest nobility of France and England, including king Charles I.
"Изумительная painting technique of the artist was the reason that in the ensuing centuries her work was confused with the paintings of Dutch, Flemish and even German мастеров." Confused because women"s work is perceived as a draw, nameless.
Most of her works are executed in 1630-е, before her marriage in 1640-х. Here a market scene 1631, kept in the Louvre:
