Lauren Brawner (Lauren Brevner) @- a canadian artist. Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, in a family with a mixed heritage, rich culture and inspiration. In 2009 she moved to Osaka, Japan, hoping to reunite with their roots.
There, Lauren had the privilege of studying under the guidance of renowned artist, Xing Nakamal. Thanks to my mentor and she began her work as an artist. Nakamal gave her the strength to continue further self-education.

This unique technique blends with a collage of Japanese tagami, using and washi paper on wood panels. Special influence on her work has had the stylistic elements of traditional Japanese arts and culture. She also strives to reinvent the eloquent tradition of using art of gold and silver.
